You can either go aroung being nice and cheerly by attending local events buying presents for your friends and neighbors or irritate thye hell out of everyone and everything by offering to deliver a present to someone for another NPC (Non-Player-Character) and then you turn the corner and openit yourself and then sell it at the local store for a few extra monies.

There is plenty to do in this game so you will never be bored of it. I guarantee that something is always happening.

The game DVD doesn’t have just one game for your £40, oh no, it contains seven, thats right SEVEN whole games: IL2 sturmovik, Il2 sturmovik Forgotten Battles, Il2 Sturmovik Ace Expansion Pack, Pacific Fighters, Pe2 (never released), Sturmoviks over Manchuria (never before released) and 1946 (also never released). So in fairness you are getting a lot for your money.

In this game you can fly 32 new planes ontop of the original planes from the original game which brings the total to near enough 300 planes (all have been remodeled, baisically graphics = sweet ) There are over 1,000 painschemes, 100 new ground objects and nearly 200 new campaign missions.

Now everyone who knows me, knows how much I love flight simming and they also know that my all-time favorite war-flight sim has been the Combat Flight Simulator series made by Microsoft who have been making flight sims for longer than they have been making their OS, (Operating System for all you n00bs out there). They also know that I once tried an Il2 game and hated it because of shoddy graphics and gameplay and the fact that for the game to run at a decent speed i.e 20 f.p.s. you needed a computer that won’t even exist by 2020. But when I saw this game I thought ‘What the hell, i’ll give the IL2 series another blast’. When I got home I eagerly installed it, (the installation time is approximately 30-45 minutes, mind you you are installing seven games at once), and to my surprise the game runs smoother than a ice cube sliding on snake oil, even on my shoddy PC and my god did I enjoy playing the campaigns!

However every blue sky has a sodding black cloud somewhere and that black cloud happens to be the multiplayer bit… YOU CAN’T FIND ANY BLOODY SERVERS!!!!! This is all due to some dope-head who has magically ballsed-up the server-findy-magig. So I shall have to labouriously send you the download for the duberry-whatsit.

Apart from that little rant, this game is awesome I give it a 9 and a half out of a possible 10.

I an starting up a reviews page; if I have played a game or watched a movie of read a book then I shall review it to the best of my abilities. The ‘multi-media pastures’ that I said I’m moving into have been put on a temporary haiatus as I need a new Joystick. (FYI: A Joystick is a type of game controller not what you are thinking of you sick people)

I will also start a For The REcord page where I will post General Ignorance style nuggets of information. Pretty much everything you think you know is wrong and these pages will make you feel very small and silly.

I have been playing Resident Evil on the new Emulator that Jake pointed out to me and it is magical. I have re-lived vivid memories of corporate zombies and twisted mutants coupled along with traitors and Multi-million dollar pharmacutical corporations.

 Ahhh memories…

 Church. Everyone hates it. Apart from… you know churchy people…

Anyway. Rememberance Day, a day where we honour the many, many men and women who gallantly gave their lives in order to keep folk like you and me from speaking German. (No offence to any German people who may read this). I was marching with 3Sqn (Air Cadets) and when we got to the church we all filed in and took our places in the pews and the semon, service whatever the christ it’s called, began. The bloke (‘vicars’ I think they are called) started talking about stuff and I tried my hardest to look interested (honest I did) .

Now with all church services there is some form of singing to be done and I just so happens that the Vicar in all his infinite wisdom thought it would be histerical to pick perhaps the most annoying (and hard) hymns in the entire sodding book. So I start to sing the first hymn. Fine. The only problem I had was timing. Those Christians like to draw out the words considerably longer then they really have to be.

Next hymn comes along and one of the words that were in the 1st or 2nd verse was ‘tyrannies’ (‘pronounced ti-ran-ees’). Now trying to actually sing (’cause you get ownd if you don’t) and reading when the bloody organist is about as useful as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest, thus I pronounced ‘tyrannies’ as… You guessed it… ‘Trannies’ now I could see the Flt Sgt out the corner of my eye and he definately heard me. Honest mistake, completely non-intentional.

Next hymn. Another lapse in concentration cost me here. In the chorus of ‘Onward Christian Soldiers’ (appropriate eh?) the second time around instead of the entire thing being written out it says:

‘Onward Christian Soldiers’
‘etc…’

Now, one who does not frequent churches is not to know not to sing ‘etc…’ (etcetera) and so the second chorus comes around and what happens… Yeah you can guess the rest, I’m not going to insult your intelligence. I looked like such a moron singing ‘etcetera’ now let us never speak of it again…
